Insights from the week
Across three days of video podcasts, live panels and collaborative workshops, climate experts and leaders from government, business, industry and the third sector came together – with one clear goal - to create a practical and coherent plan to accelerate the reduction of carbon emissions over the next five years and beyond.
There was a particular focus on unlocking the benefits of change specifically in areas like housing, transport and agriculture and land use, where Wales has the devolved powers to lead change.
During the discussions, there was a clear sense of aligned and collaborative thinking, with many speakers agreeing that three key pillars should guide policies, planning and infrastructure across all three sectors.
Collaboration, Communication and Community – stood out as areas that the Welsh Government should address in the next Carbon Budget, if Wales is to maintain momentum and deliver real, lasting change.
Let’s take a closer look at all the key discussion points across the three days….coming soon.
