Climate Action Wales

In 2019, Wales was the first nation in the world to declare a climate emergency.

Climate change is the biggest threat facing humanity. We are also experiencing a nature emergency. And we can't solve one without solving the other.

The Welsh Government has called for a 'decade of action', including a commitment in law to achieve net zero carbon emissions by 2050. It has also set a goal to protect at least 30% of Welsh land and sea by 2030.

This website from the Welsh Government provides examples of green choices we can make in our everyday lives, as well as how government and businesses are acting.

The Welsh Government has also published the Climate Action Wales - Public Engagement Strategy that sets out how these green choices will become easier and more affordable, and how support will be driven by equality, leaving no-one behind.

We can all take actions to help our communities, save money, improve wellbeing and create a cleaner, greener Wales.

Together we can make a difference.
