About the Climate Conversations Fund
The Climate Conversations fund is a Welsh Government grant. The fund is opened annually for applications around Wales Climate Week. It exists to support the general public in joining the conversation about solutions for tackling climate change.

Organisations with ties to communities can apply for funding to hold local events. The fund aims to gather evidence and insights from the general public. These insights then inform Welsh Government decision-making on climate change.
Successful applicants will be required to cover a series of set questions with participants. These will be linked to one or more of the following topics:
Housing
Transport
Agriculture and land use
Your insights will help guide Welsh Government decisions. This will ensure fairness and help to unlock the benefits of change for all. Priority will be given to events that engage marginalised groups.
The Welsh Government wants to hear from as many people as possible. This includes:
Public and private sector organisations
Education institutions
Third sector organisations
Community groups
Members of the public, particularly those who will be disproportionately impacted. E.g. young people, older people, those with lived experiences and from diverse backgrounds.
To be eligible for funding, your event must cover at least one of the three themes. Attendees need to answer specific questions (included in your organiser’s pack). You must also share insights and feedback in a post-event evaluation form. This will help inform future Welsh Government decision-making.
The Community Conversations Fund events will begin following Wales Climate Week, and run until the end of February. They will build on three, invite-only regional workshops being held during the main week. Find out more about the invite-only regional workshops.
